Fabulous! I thought there was only one type of Power Assist.
Transitioning from a manual to a powered wheelchair can have significant impacts on resources and function. With more and more power assist options on the market these are becoming popular options both as primary mobility devices or to provide occasional assistance to mobilisation in certain environments. Products range from systems that amplify current functional mobilisation to small motors that operate via a joystick like a powered mobility base. Areas covered include:

Trained in New Zealand, has over 10 years experience in the assessment, prescription and fitting of complex seating and mobility. Tracee-lee has presented and educated on this topic both in Australia and New Zealand. She has worked as a consultant clinican and educator.
