Short Description

A heavy duty, electrically operated, custom made, steel and marine ply framed fully upholstered lounge chair with reclining backrest, elevating legrest and stand up function. The chair has battery backup as standard and is available in a wide range of fabrics. Three models are available with increasing load capacities.

Models

Three models are available:
* Bariatric A with load capacity of 130 to149kg
* Bariatric B with load capacity of 150 to 199kg
* Bariatric C with load capacity of 200kg +

More Details

Frame
* The chair's frame is constructed of marine ply with strong black webbing supporting the seat
* The supplier states that the frame is heavily reinforced to add strength

Backrest
* The backrest is upholstered in Dunlop memory foam and is custom contoured to suit the individual
* A detachable neck cushion is available

Seat
* The seat is upholstered with a commercial grade Dunlop memory foam
* There are no springs in the chair's seat, it instead uses black webbing material under the cushion
* The chair has a removable cushion and cushion cover for ease of cleaning and to manage incontinence
* The cushion cover has three layers: fabric, memory foam and incontinence barrier

Armrests
* The chair has full length, fully padded and upholstered, fixed height armrests
* The armrest height is customised to suit the user during construction

Fabric
* The chair is available in a choice of over 1000 fabrics

Controls
* The chair has a hand held controller on an extendable cord which can be located on either the left or right sides dependent on preference
* It has soft touch style buttons
* The chair is available with one or two motors with two motors used to add stability during stand up function
* The backrest cannot operate independently of the leg rest

Action of the chair
* The chair fully reclines to beyond 180 degrees and utilises a tilting action with the seat pan tilting backwards while the backrest reclines
* The standing function is both a lift and tilt forward movement

Power
* The chair operates using mains power via a single motor, however in the event of a power outage the battery backup located in the transformer will return the user to either a neutral position or to a standing position via a 9 volt battery
* The supplier states that the chair's motor is heavy duty and able to 'push' up to 600kgs
