Rifton TRAM

Rifton TRAM Transfer And Mobility Device

A mobile, battery operated transferring and mobility device which may be used with a sling to lift and transfer a person in a seated position, to and from a bed, chair or toilet. It is also used for sit-to-stand lifts and is able to be used with a walking saddle for gait training. Suitable for domestic or healthcare facility use.

Push Handle
The push handle is U shaped

Body Support
* Padded trunk support
* Secured with a buckled strap

Three stage riser
* The telescoping lift column gives the TRAM its low profile, providing the user with the security and dignity of unobstructed eye contact with their caregivers and surroundings. The TRAM can be raised high enough to support a 193cm walking client and then retract down to 111cm for compact storage.

Leg expander
* Compact and low-profile, the TRAM can pass through a 711mm doorway with ease
* Transfer in and out of wheelchairs by rotating the leg expander.

Castors
* Dual castors with the option of direction locks are available.
* Front castors are lockable (braked)

Power source
* Battery powered

Method of operation
* Raise and Lower of the telescopic column is controlled by an inbuilt push button switch located on the push handle.
* Opening Legs of Base - is manually operated via hand operated lever.

Slings
Thigh straps are standard, however a walking saddle is also available.

Option Details
* The TRAM's optional scale allows the caregiver to weigh the TRAM user easily during transfer, as well as measure weight bearing capability and progress. During supported ambulation the scale can measure how much weight the person is bearing.

Considerations

It is recommended that prior to using this product, training in manual handling and the correct use of assistive devices should be undertaken.
