More Details

Benefits
* The PAL2 does not require mounting to the pool deck or access to water or electricity supply except when recharging. This mobility allows the hoist to be positioned anywhere around the pool and then put away when not in use. The mobility of the PAL2 means the one hoist can be used in multi-pool facilities.

Material
* The hoist is constructed of corrosion resistant materials which are powder coated aluminium and stainless steel.

Components
* The hoist consists of a mast , boom and wheeled support base.

Suitability
* The PAL2 hoist is suitable for use with a below ground pool. Other models cater for above ground pools.

Seat
* The boom has a plastic seat attached. The seat has drainage holes in the seat base and backrest, and swing away arms to allow a side transfer.

Operation
* The hoist raises and lowers via battery operation. A hand held control is used to lift and lower the boom. The hoist is rotated through 240 degrees, by pushing the button on the waterproof control unit attached to a cord. The hand control is submersible so can be left connected while the user is swimming. The control unit can be attendant or user operated.

Power
* There is a 24 volt battery built in which is rechargeable. The battery is located in the base of the PAL2 and is removed to a wall mounted charger when required. The green light on the battery indicates a connection to a power source. The orange light on the battery indicates the battery is charging. When the battery is fully charged the orange light goes off.

Option Details
Spineboard attachment
* The spine board attachment works with any standard spine board (not included). To use, remove the chair by pulling the attachment pin and replace with the spine board attachment.

Method Of Use

1. Push the PAL2 to the edge of the pool so that the base is square.
2. Push down the foot brake on the wheels.
3. Push down and set the stabilisers against the pool deck.
4. Attendant presses button on control unit to position hoist chair for transfer.
5. User transfers independently or with assistance onto the hoist chair.
6. Attach seat belt.
7. User or attendant presses the button on the control unit to activate the hoist to pivot and lower into the pool.
8. User removes seat belt and swims off the hoist chair.

Considerations

* The base of each PAL2 must be measured and customised to fit the pool/s where it will be used prior to purchase.
