Method Of Use

When medication is ready the unit will sound a Buzzer to notify the patient that the medication is ready. Only the most recent medicine is available. Opening the medication door disables the alarm. The pill tray rotates to the next dose when the next audible alarm sounds. If the patient misses a dose, the pill dispenser denies access to the missed dose. An SMS and/or email can be sent to the caregiver or multiple recipients in the event of a missed pill or error.

No land line or internet connection is necessary at the Medication dispenser. All medication compliance events and device settings are sent real time using the built in SIM card via cellular networks.

Remotely change alarm times, trigger early doses, and set all device settings from your home, or smartphone. In the case of a medication non-compliance event the dispenser signals MedReady's servers and then the suppliers servers send email and/or text messages to caregivers alerting them of the non-compliance event. Phone call alerts are not available in Australia only SMS and email. The complete compliance log can also be viewed online via the compliance website.

Considerations

It is recommended to always check with a pharmacist before storing medications in a dispenser or storage container as some medications require special storage conditions and some medications cannot be kept in the same container as others.
