More Details

Structure
* Each arm consists of two distinct sets of three identical, interchangeable, and easy-to-replace CADs. These are linked together by a ZIF (zero insertion force) cable. The arm is mounted on a standard aluminum extruded support structure that can be affixed to almost any surface. It can be installed on any powered wheelchair and is controlled via the joystick.

Gripping
* The gripper consists of three under-actuated fingers that can be individually controlled. The fingers can adjust to any object whatever its shape. They can gently pick up an egg or firmly grasp a jar. The arm can carry a maximum load of 1.5 kg

Control
* Jaco can be controlled with a computer or the manufacturer's three-axis, seven-button joystick. Control is intuitive and allows users to navigate using three different modes: translate, rotate, and grip. The Intelligent Singularity Avoidance System always keeps the arm safely away from unwanted locations.
