Medical devices that are approved for use in Australia have been entered into a national database called the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), which is maintained by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Please note that custom made devices are not required to undergo pre-market assessment by the TGA or to be included on the ARTG before supply. Custom made medical devices do not include medical devices that have been adapted or modified to accommodate an individual patient.
