Ark Cip-Kup

Ark Cip-Kup With One Way Valve

ARK's flexible Cip-kup makes transitioning from bottle feeding to cup drinking easier or to assist with the teaching of straw drinking skills. A reusable one way valve at the end of the straw keeps the fluids in the straw after you stop squeezing or when the user stops sucking. (or use it without the valve). Valve end can be trimmed to adjust flow. A lip-blok is included and one dozen straws. All parts are dishwasher safe.

WARNING: Some pieces could present as a choking hazard. Use under adult supervision.

More Details

* Reduces the air ingested and effort required; less coughing and choking while drinking thin liquids.
* The 250ml. bottle is flexible enough to allow squeezing to assist in bringing fluids to the mouth and does not tip over easily.
* Not recommended for carbonated beverages
* Recommended for thin liquids (water, milk, juice without pulp, etc).
* If you're using thickened liquids, in general for most thickener brands: "nectar" consistency works fine. If you trim the tapered end of the valve to open up the flow, "honey" will work but will be harder to suck through the straw. "Pudding" does not work, as it's too thick to drink through even a regular straw without a valve.

Considerations

* WARNING: Some pieces could present as a choking hazard. Use under adult supervision.
* Some people have problems eating or drinking. This is a serious health risk. Signs include difficulty swallowing and chewing foods, coughing when eating or drinking, or food getting stuck in or spilling from the mouth. If you are concerned, visit a speech pathologist or consult your GP.
