Tilt And Turn Window

Paarhammer Tilt & Turn Windows

This range of windows allow air to pass into the room in the tilt position (open at the top inwards like a hopper window) and at the same time acts as a safety precaution that prevents small children from climbing through the window. The same function prevents intruders from entering. The fully opened inward turn position makes it easy when cleaning windows.

More Details

* Energy efficient
* Noise reduction of up to 45dB (supplier stated)
* Two opening positions (side opening casement or top opening hopper) operated with one handle
* Several locking pins all around the window, which lock the sash into the frame to provide multi-point metal to metal security locking. This means that the energy saved through double or triple glazing is not lost through the frame

Child Safety Rules
* New child safety rules in the National Construction Code can be accommodated by making the windows tilt only and thereby restricting the opening to 125mm. Only after a key is used to unlock the window, can it be opened sideways to the inside for easy cleaning

Method Of Use

The window (or door) will swing inward when opened in the turn position - alternatively, a sophisticated hinging mechanism allow it to open inward at the top (tilt). Both actions are activated by the turn of the handle, which controls all the mechanics within the frame
