MyMedicWatchApps

MyMedicWatch Apps

The My Medic Watch Apps (Fall app and Epilepsy app) can help coordinate immediate assistance if an individual has a fall or a seizure. The My Medic Watch app automatically detects the event and notifies a caregiver, providing details of the individual's location. Each alert recipient can send a response advising whether they are able to assist, which is forwarded to both the individual and the other caregivers. The My Medic Watch App needs to be downloaded on a smartphone that is paired with a smartwatch to detect falls or seizures.

More Details

* The My Medic Watch Epilepsy (or seizure) app may capture 'generalised tonic-clonic seizures', also known as convulsive seizures or grand mal seizures
* When the My Medic Watch Apps is running on the smartwatch you can contact your caregivers manually by the tap of a button on the smartwatch
* When the smartwatch and the mobile device are synced, the My Medic Watch Apps will work both inside and outside as long as there is 3G/4G internet coverage
* You do need to have your mobile phone with you all the time. The My Medic Watch Apps running on your smartwatch require your smartphone to use the phone's cellular connectivity (3G/4G internet coverage)
* If you have a fall or a seizure but you are okay, there is a button which you can press when the app is running to notify your caregivers that you are okay. Once this button has been pressed and your caregivers alerted, the app will continue monitoring again.
* The apps are easy to install and they can be downloaded from the Apple store or Google play store (just search for My Medic Watch)
* The apps can be downloaded from Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and the United States of America
* It is necessary to set up an account and profile to use the apps. The profile does not need to be complete, but the more information you include the more useful the apps will be. Some functions will not work if you omit information from your profile. For example, alerts cannot be sent until you have chosen the individuals who are to receive them.
* If your smartwatch can be used in the water you should certainly use it in the shower so that the apps can detect if you have a fall or a seizure
* The My Medic Watch Apps tracks your data, and you can use this to review your day-to-day activities and any health symptoms, including their frequency and severity, associated with seizures and falls when they occur (only for the Plus and Premium Plans)

The My Medic Watch Apps needs to be downloaded on a smartphone that is paired with a smartwatch to detect falls or seizures.
If you don't have a smartwatch, you will need to obtain one to be able to use My Medic Watch Apps.
