BeHearNOW

BeHear NOW and BeHear ACCESS Hearing Amplifiers

The BeHear NOW and BeHear ACCESS are Bluetooth headsets that amplify and clarify the sounds. They use four microphones (one in each earbud, and one in each control box) to pick up and process ambient sounds. They also cancel feedback and reduce echoes while they amplify essential sounds such as the voices.

More Details

BeHear NOW and BeHear ACCESS

* Bluetooth headsets that connects directly to your devices
* Can be worn either under or over your clothing
* The headsets behave just like headphones would for streaming music, watching videos or TV and making mobile phone calls
* Four microphones pick up ambient sounds and processing them to suit your unique hearing capabilities and preferences in "live" sound situations
* The settings can be altered for different hearing situations such as human speech, movies in the theatre, and during outdoor activities
* Amplifies sounds up to approximately 12KHz, for live music and concerts (traditional hearing aids provide amplification of sounds up to 5KHz which is the upper limit of typical human speech)
* Stream directly from locations outfitted with hearing loops, such as theatres, universities, museums, ticket kiosks, and government offices
* Access either the T-Coil Exclusive or T-Coil Transparent mode using the app to tap into these closed system feeds
* The exclusive mode allows you to listen to streaming content only
* The transparent mode enables you to hear other sounds, such as the voice of someone who is sharing the experience
* The two perpendicular T-Coils decrease your sensitivity to the orientation in the magnetic field of an Induction Loop system
* The BeHear ACCESS features large, tactile buttons making it easy to use
* The high-performance processor uses a long-life rechargeable battery that lasts about 13 hours in personal hearing mode
* Voice prompts let you know when the battery is getting low, and the magnetised cradle simplifies charging of BeHear ACCESS
* A variety of shapes, sizes of the silicone earbuds and hooks are available

ListenThrough technology:
* Separates important sounds like human speech or sirens from unimportant sounds and static noise like traffic, air conditioners and other motorised equipment
* Will isolate you from your surroundings and allow you to enjoy listening to music
* Will still allow you to hear when someone is calling you or the timer on the oven dings

EasyListen technology:
* Slows down the incoming speech for mobile phone calls, making it more understandable when speaking with fast talkers, people with an accent, those speaking a foreign language, or electronic recorded phone messages using newer "time stretching" technologies for speech modification
*Works dynamically, addressing in real-time the accumulated delay for slowing down an audio signal, without interfering with the speech that follows
* By shortening the pauses that occur in any typical conversation, it allows for a balance in the flow
* Does not interfere with the natural tones, noises, and other irrelevant sounds of disc ussion, but leaves them unstretched
* During the conversation, it slows the different sounds at different rates, based on their natural length, and continuous sounds, like "mmm", "aaaa", "yee", et cetera, are not slowed at all

Set-up:
* Unlike traditional hearing aids, the BeHear NOW and BeHear ACCESS can both be set up without a visit to a hearing professional
* The units lets you conduct your own 6-minute hearing assessment with the free Wear and Hear BeHear app for iPhone and Android smartphones
* Can also be set up by directly inputting the audiogram values provided from a hearing professional
* You can also choose from the audiogram library included in the app
* The settings can be adjusted and personalised while you're using the app
* Adjust the volume or reduce the level of background noise and raise the levels of amplification for specific frequencies in real-time

The HearLink PLUS is a bluetooth transmitter that streams TV or computer audio directly to either the BeHear NOW or BeHear ACCESS personalised headset.
Listening using the HearLink PLUS eliminates ambient noises, any echo or reverberation in the room, as well as other types of sound interference.
The aptX audio codec keeps latency at less than 40 ms, avoiding lip-sync issues.
Connect the BeHear headset to both the HearLink PLUS transmitter and a smartphone, so you can watch TV with the ListenThrough technology and also make or receive mobile calls.
The audio transmission via the HearLink PLUS is paused for the duration of the call and then resumes when you hang up.
If you and your companion both use BeHear NOW or BeHear ACCESS, both headsets can be connected to a single HearLink PLUS transmitter, enabling you to enjoy the TV watching or computer experience together, while each hearing the audio through the headset personally optimised to your hearing profile and preferences.
