Option Details
* AutoCair feature found in all models of ProCair mattresses listed, is a weight sensing technology that measures the pressure levels of the mattress and adjust to changes in position, ensuring a safe range of pressure. This can be cyclical and real-time. Manual adjustments can be made.

* HeelCair is a feature found in the ProCaire Prime and Plus options. This feature is comprised of narrow cells that provide protection individualized therapy for the lower leg area. This feature is detachable in the Prime model.

*ClimateCair is a feature specifically for the ProCair Plus. Assists with comfort and temperature management by providing warmth, retain heat and are soft to touch. Cells are constructed from thermoplastic polyurethane material.

* SafetyCair options in all models. Protection provided underneath cells by lower cells that are fully inflated. Improves surface stability.

*CairAlert in the ProCair Plus, is an alarm system which provides an alert when the sensors indicate the person has left the bed.

Considerations

All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.
