A commercial lift with a hydraulic drive system, automatic power doors and emergency battery powered lowering. Maximum travel distance is 15 metres with a maximum of 7 stops.

Installation

In NSW the owner or controller of the lift (if not the owner) is required to register their lift with WorkCover. They need to complete Form PL2 Application For Item Registration of Lift / Escalator and Moving Walkway. A fee of $65 is charged. The applicant must state that the plant has been inspected by a competent person and is safe to operate (use).

It is recommended that the lift be inspected annually by a competent person. WorkCover requires payment for registration as well as an annual fee.
