Short Description
The ACCESS 2.3 is a fully rigged stable 2.3 metre one person sailing
dinghy which features electric controls of the rudder and mainsheet
operated by a joy stick of chin controller. The sailor reclines in a laterally
mounted lazy chair made of nylon webbing.
The ACCESS 303 is a larger boat which has a 2 sails, a jib and a mainsail.
More Details
*The sailors weight is down low in the boat which contributes to stability.
*There is room either side of the centreboard case for outstretched legs.
This laidback helm position allows the tiller to be operated over the
leeward shoulder, shifting the upper body to windward and changing sheet / tiller hands when tacking.
*It has a 15 kg ballast centreboard and it cannot capsize. It is self
righting if knocked over in a violent gust.
*There is an optional electric servo drive for the steering and sheet with
which some people with high level quadriplegia may manage.
DINGHY OPERATION :
It can be remote controlled from the shore if necessary.
*The Access 2.3 has a choice of three rig sizes with approximately 3, 3.5 and 4 square metres sail area which use the instant access refueling system.
