Short Description

A range of hand held shower kits available in a range of different grab rail configurations. Designed for domestic or healthcare facility settings. The kits are available with hand held shower hose and sliding rail with bracket. The handshower has a friction slide up / down the rail for easy adjustment and a non return valve. The hose is attached to a wall mounted elbow outlet. One handset model has an on / off water flow control.

Models

1) HS 018 Kit 3: Commercial hand held shower with vertical, 800mm clam flange friction slide grab rail. Available with 2000mm hose.
2) HS 018 Kit 4: Commercial hand held shower with 600mm x 600mm (horizontal) x 1100mm (vertical), grab rail with friction slide track and 'C' hook bracket on the vertical. To be installed into the corner of the shower recess. Available with 2000mm hose. Specify left or right hand.
3) HS 018 Kit 5: Commercial hand held shower with 760mm x 1000mm (horizontal) x 1100mm (vertical), grab rail with friction slide track and 'C' hook bracket on the vertical. Vertical component is positioned on the 760mm length. To be installed into the corner of the shower recess. Available with 2000mm hose. Specify left or right hand.
4) HS 018 Kit 9: Commercial hand held shower with vertical, 800mm clam flange grab rail with ABS plastic glide slide 'C' hook bracket. Available with 2000mm hose.
5) HS 018 Kit 13: As above, with a glide slide 'C' hook bracket on the vertical grab rail.
6) HS 018 Kit 14: Commercial hand held shower with 400mm (horizontal) x 1100mm (vertical) 'L' shaped grab rail. Features friction slide track and 'C' hook bracket on the vertical. Available with 2000mm hose. Specify left or right hand.
7) HS 018 Kit 15: As above with clam flange 'L' shaped grab rail, with ABS plastic glide slide bracket on the vertical grab rail.
8) HS 018 Kit 16: Commercial hand held shower with 600mm (horizontal) x 1100mm (vertical) inverted 'T' offset clam flange grab rail and ABS plastic glide slide 'C' hook bracket on the vertical. Available with 2000mm hose. Specify left or right hand.
9) HS 018 Kit 19: As above with friction slide track and 'C' hook bracket.
10) HS 018 Kit 20: As above with friction slide track and 'C' hook bracket, except the vertical rail is positioned centrally, not offset.
Kits with Klipper (on/off lever) hand held shower
11) HS 018 Kit 21: Hand held shower with robust on / off side lever on vertical, 800mm clam flange grab rail with a friction slide track and 'C' hook bracket. Available with 2000mm hose, in white / chrome only.

Kit without grab rail
HS 018 Kit 6: Commercial hand held shower with solid brass wall outlet bracket, plus an ABS plastic glide slide 'C' hook bracket. The bracket can be retrofitted to a 32mm grab rail. (Grab rail not supplied). Available with 2000mm hose.

More Details

The kits are fitted to grab bars which are vertical, L-shaped, corner mounted or inverted T-shape.

Hand Held Shower
The hand held shower is constructed from ABS plastic, with a cylindrical hand grip. The rose component is circular, at a slight angle, providing a firm spray. The diffuser is removable for cleaning. The end of the hand grip tapers. It fits into the 'C' hook bracket on the slide rail, or into a wall mounted bracket. The hand held shower needs to be plumbed in.

Grab rails / Slider
The 32mm satin stainless steel grab rails are available in a variety of configurations (vertical, corner mounted, 90 degree angled etc). The rails are designed to be installed on a single wall or into the corner of the shower recess. Central fixings (where used) utilise an underslung bracket. Suits wet and dry applications.

Rail:
'Clam flange' concealed grab rail slider with a 585mm solid brass friction slide track with a factory installed solid brass friction slide 'C' hook bracket. The friction slide is water assisted, allowing it to slide easily assisting a user with reduced strength. A spring within the bracket holds it in position against the rail, it does not lock. The 'C' hook pivots in a vertical plane, allowing the shower to be positioned as required. The bracket is positioned on the right side of the rail, but can be installed on the left if specified.

Factors To Consider

It is important to ensure that fixed rails are selected to suit the type of wall. There may be specific differences between rails intended for installation on masonry walls and those intended for installation on wooden stud walls.

HA 018 Kit 21 has an on / off side lever. This enables the water to be temporarily turned off at the hand piece.
NOTE: Not to be used as a line end stop control
It is recommended that the water be always turned off at the taps after showering. Failure to do this can cause the hose to deteriorate and blow out fairly quickly.

Installation

Manufacturer recommends the grab rails should be installed by a qualified tradesperson.
Hand held shower hose needs to be installed by a licensed plumber.
