Telstra will provide a Teletypewriter (TTY), modem or telebraille equipment to eligible people with a speech or hearing impairment, via a rental arrangement under their Disability Equipment Program. These phones are not for sale to the general public however, are available for people who are part of Telstra or already renting a phone with Telstra.

* The rental arrangement is the same as for all other standard rental equipment. *For the customer this means an annual rental rate of $30 for the first phone, and ongoing maintenance of the equipment by Telstra.
* Contact the Telstra Disability Equipment Hotline to discuss eligibility criteria and to request an application form.
* Printacall will source, supply, distribute and maintain the equipment.
A standard rental of $3 will be applied each month as a part of applicant's phone bill.
