The publication is clearly set-out, well indexed, easy to read and is illustrated with line drawings.

It is divided into 5 chapters which include an introduction, problem solving, changing the environment, new housing or renovation and resources.

The authors address the issues associated with each area of the home. They itemise the problems and concerns, provide checklists and offer possible solutions. The emphasis is on maintaining a familiar comfortable environment which is safe and secure. The writers also suggest ways of dealing with wandering, behavioural difficulties and memory loss. They make suggestions on equipment and environmental design.
