Functions of the Aboriginal Disability Network
Advice
* Advise government about the needs of Aboriginal people with disability.
* Ask government to consider the needs of Aboriginal people with disability when making policies and planning services.
* Advise disability services about how to best support Aboriginal people with disability.
* Capacity-building and community development
* Help Aboriginal people with disability in their own communities to work out:
what their needs are and how communities can support people with disability to meet their needs.
Research
* They work with researchers to find out:about disability in Aboriginal communities
* They research how to help Aboriginal communities to support their people with disability.
Referral
* They refer people to individual support services.
