Short Description

A hydraulically operated fully enclosed lift contained within shaft suitable for 4 metres of travel in public places and 12 metres of travel in private residences. The lift has swing out opening doors on each landing and may be operated either with constant pressure or automatic control. It has capacity for 4 standing adults or 1 adult with wheelchair occupant. Suitable for domestic or commercial applications in indoor and outdoor locations. Options are available.

Different sizes and finishes available, however, to be compliant with BCA E3.6 (limited mobility access) lift car must be 750mm wide x 1000mm deep. Car sizes start from a minimum of 650mm x 850mm and can be increased in 50mm increments

Installation

In NSW the owner or controller of the lift (if not the owner) is required to register their lift with WorkCover. They need to complete Form PL2 Application For Item Registration of Lift / Escalator and Moving Walkway. A fee of $65 is charged for a lift installed in a public place. The applicant must state that the plant has been inspected by a competent person and is safe to operate (use).

It is compulsory that the lift be inspected annually by a competant person. WorkCover requires payment for registration as well as an annual fee.

It is an offence to operate plant that is not correctly registered under the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 2001.

The supplier claims that this lift is fully compliant with AS 1735 Part 15 for travel up to 4 metres and compliant with AS 1735 Part 18 for travel up to 12 metres
