More Details

The cut away section on the bath allows easy leg access, particularly when used with a swivel bath seat. The length of the cut away section on the side of the bath is normally around 500mm to 600mm.

Because the level of water in the bath is reduced to a maximum of 100mm by this modification the bath is also fitted with a bath seat and a hand shower. (Contact the ILC, see ILC web site database or speak to an occupational therapist about these products).

The pictured bath modification has been carried out for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Australia and can lead to significant savings with bathroom redesign for clients with a disability or older clients. A major modification to the entire bathroom is not required.
