MATERIAL
The hoist is constructed from high strength aluminium with a polyurethane coating
MAST
Single angled mast houses the battery (mid mast).
PUSH HANDLE
U shaped push handle with slip resistant grip extends almost the full length of the mast. It is wider at the top.
BASE
U shaped with electrically adjustable leg opening. The legs are removable via a push button located on the outside of either leg at the base of the hoist.
BOOM
Double bar (wire coat hanger shape). Carry handle on top angled bar (for when dismantled). Yoke attaches to the front with quick release spring loaded knob.
SPREADER BAR
The spreader bars include standard yoke with 2 point attachment hooks, 4 point attachment yoke, car yoke with 3 point attachment and pivot frame (uses standard sling with swivel fittings. Yokes for indoor indoor use enable transfers from a seated or lying position, or to or from the floor.
PLANE / ARC OF LIFT

CASTORS
are swivel style, front twin castors are 100mm in diameter and rear braked castors are 125mm in diameter. Larger castors are an option.
ELECTRIC CONTROLS
are hand held on an extendable cord with a clip that attaches it to the hoist when not in use. The remote control handset has touch pads operation of the hoist mast and the leg width adjustment.
METHOD OF OPERATION
Raise and Lower - push button touch pad on hand held control which attaches to the hoist with an spiral extendable cord
Opening Legs of Base - powered via hand held control
POWER SOURCE
rechargeable battery. There is a light indicator for battery voltage level.
BATTERY CHARGING is achieved by removing the battery and placing it into the supplied battery charger, connected into a mains power point. Charger can be wall mounted.
SLINGS
There is a special Tech Assist divided leg sling for car transfers. It may also be suitable for some other transfers. The sling does not have head support. Various slings are available from the supplier.
PORTABILITY
Dismantles: remove battery, lift mast off base and remove legs for transportation.
Folding for storage: lower boom, remove legs and position each leg upright on either side of mast. Hoist can be tilted and transported on rear wheels.

Factors To Consider
It is recommended that the person being transferred in / out of the car has good upper body control to be able to co-operate with the car transfer.
