Telstra - Access For Everyone

The Access for Everyone Community program is designed to assist people on a low income or facing financial hardship to maintain telecommunications access. Some of the programs are free of access charges, and some are discounted. Customers can select more that one service. Some programs have eligibility criteria.

More Details

The people who have been identified as eligible for the programs fit into the following broad groups:
* homeless / transient
* indigenous Australians
* unemployed persons
* low income households
* aged pensioners
* people with a disability
* people from non English speaking backgrounds

Telstra has a range of services:

BudgetPay - Help spread the yearly cost of home phone bill across equal fortnightly or monthly instalments.

Centrepay - choose an amount to have regularly deducted from a Centrelink payment and put towards the Telstra home phone account

HomeLine? Budget - for those who have one home phone service and don't make a lot of calls

InContact - a home phone service which allows incoming calls (except reverse charge calls). Outgoing calls are restricted to emergency services, selected numbers and calls made with a pre paid PhoneAway card

Telstra Bill Assistance Program - for those experiencing financial difficulty and having a problem paying their Telstra home phone bill

Telstra Pensioner Discount Scheme - an eligible pensioner can get a discount on your new connection, a monthly discount on eligible phone bills and free access to Call Control

MessageBox - a personal messaging service to assist people to keep intounch with their families.

Discounted call rates - those in a rural or remote area of Australia, may have access to a range of discounted call rates

Flexible billing - you can choose to get your bills every month, every two months or quarterly. We can offer you a Single Bill, large print or Braille bills and a range of other options

Telstra Indigenous Hotline - if you are Indigenous, there is a 1800 number to call for help connecting or maintaining your Telstra services
