Operation
The Wet-Stop2 enuresis alarm teaches night time dryness with a buzzer attached to the pyjamas near the ear and a moisture sensor held onto ordinary underwear. The Wet-Stop2 buzzer reacts immediately to the first few drops of moisture, teaching the child to stop the flow of urine before the bed becomes wet. During this learning process, dry underpants will be needed but the family will be spared the bother of remaking the entire bed.
Over time children learn to sense the need to awaken in response to a full bladder.
Alarms are battery operated so there is no risk of shock. Parents play an important role in helping their child arouse in response to the alarm. Because of their child's deep sleep, many parents hear the alarm before their child responds to it. By reminding their child what to do next - walk to the bathroom to urinate - the parent helps to establish a new response.
