Short Description
The Handi-Weigh Ramp features a pair of ramp tracks joined by two horizontal bars. It is made from plastic coated steel for rust protection. The Ramp is balanced on top of a set of bathroom scales to enable a person to be weighed while seated in the wheelchair.
Method Of Use
Manufacturer's Instructions:
To Use: when pushing the wheelchair towards the ramp, once the front wheels touch the Handi-Weigh, it will tilt up. Continue pushing but use your foot on the tilt bar under the wheelchair as well as pushing with you hands, until the wheelchair is positioned on the Handi-Weigh. Stop pushing when the front wheels are against the two 'Stop Bars' welded onto the front of the ramp.
APPLY BRAKES - SO NOT LEAVE PATIENTS UNATTENDED WHEN ON SCALES. Read off the weight from the scale. Sometimes it is easier to see the dial from behind the patient by looking under the chair. After weighing release the brakes, and either continue moving forward or reverse off the scales. Before weighing the next patient, ensure the Handi-Weigh is correctly positioned on the scales.
