Short Description

A plug with an inbuilt pressure activated mechanism that is designed to allow water to release down the waste outlet or plug hole prior to flooding. The mechanism is pre set to allow for varying water depths. The plug features a coloured plate that is temperature sensitive to change colour in hot water. Materials are rubber and plastic. Available in two sizes for bath, kitchen sink and laundry trough.

MATERIALS
The Magiplug is constructed from moulded plastic parts. The seal is maintained by a spring. Compression of this spring under increasing head of water over the plug eventually causes the plug to open, allowing water outflow. At some lower level, the spring will restore a closed position and should shut off outflow. The plastic forming the open / close sealing plate has been modified by the addition of a temperature-sensitive colouring. This aspect of design is to give an immediate visual indication of potentially over-hot bath water.

If the water is above what is considered a safe temperature the pressure plate in the centre of the plug will change colour normally at around 32 - 41 degrees C. When the pressure plate turns green this can be taken to indicate that water is not too hot for safe exposure levels.

SIZES
40mm and 50mm.The 40mm is usually for baths and the 50mm is for toughs and sinks. This can vary with older baths.

APPLICATION
