More Details
Chemical Toilet
. The front section has a plastic clip to allow the top section to be lifted off and removed from the base section.
. The base section has the waste storage. This needs to be lifted to empty, and a tube protrudes from the base to do this.
. Toilet Seat is a plastic, full seat
. Pump action flush mechanism on the rear of the chemical toilet
Considerations for Use
. Using a chemical toilet can reduce the frequency required for cleaning a standard bedside commode.
.???????As the chemical toilet can flush, the odour may be reduced after use.
.???????The height adjustable frame with armrests could assist transfers on and off the chemical toilet.
.???????The storage unit needs to be removed and lifted to empty and change the chemicals. This can be heavier and more awkward than a standard bedside commode, so manual handling may be a difficulty for some.
.???????The user needs to consider their strength and dexterity to operate the flush mechanism before purchase.
.???????By using a urine bottle, the contents of the chemical toilet may be reduced. Its weight may be affected for others to empty. Sufficient chemicals are still required to break down any faecal matter.
