Short Description

A cotton undergarment similar to a pair of underpants with slightly extended legs. Each side of the garment has an oval shaped pocket into which a silicone hip protector shield can be fitted. Available as pants with side pockets, or pants with sewn-in shields. Available in Unisex or men's styles, and in seven sizes.

Method Of Use

If pants are fitting comfortable around the waist, the shields will generally be in the correct position. For garments with removable shields, it does not matter which way up, or which way around, the shields are placed in the pockets.

The position of silicone shields is intended to protect the hip bones in the event of a lateral fall. The silicone shields are covered in fabric and are not in direct contact with the skin. They work by absorbing and deflecting impact shock.
The shields can be purchased separately, but initial orders for the undergarment require the purchase of at least one pair of silicone shields.

Maintenance

Cleaning
Pants are machine washable in hot or cold water. Some minor shrinkage may occur after the initial wash. Do not press, do not wring, do not soak in bleach. Can be tumble dried on low - medium heat.

Standards
