This flat sheet sliding system is used by a carer to perform a wide range of handling manoeuvres such as repositioning a person in bed. The sheet is made from a synthetic nylon low friction material with handles along the edge. It is lightweight, folding and portable. Available in three sizes.
APPLICATIONS
MaxiSlide is applicable in many resident handling situations such as sitting a person up, moving them up the bed, helping them to sit on the edge of the bed and turning them from one side to the other.
USE
The sheet is used folded upon itself, and placed under the user, on the bed by rolling them to the side and positioning the sheet under them. The fold is orientated to the direction of travel.
A second slide tube, or folded slide sheet is used under the feet / heels, reducing the friction between the body and the bed.
CLEANING REQUIREMENTS
Can be wiped clean using either a chlorine or alcohol based solution.
Can be washed at a maximum temperature of 80 degrees and drip dried. Can be tumble dried on a low temperature.
CAUTION
It is recommended that prior to using this product, training in manual handling and the correct use of assistive devices should be undertaken.
This is a transferring device and should not be left under the user.
