More Details
Frame
The single bed has an off white powder coated steel frame with a moulded plastic undercarriage cover and moulded ABS plastic head and foot panels. The bed base is sheet metal with ventilation holes. The platform sections are removable.
Mattress
Mattress is available separately and a choice of mattresses is available.
Adjustments
The adjustments are made via a hand held device with push button controls.
The bed has electric height, backrest and leg break adjustments. When the backrest and leg raise are fully elevated a flat section remains under the buttock region.
Power Source
Through a 240 volt power point. The power is supplied to the hand piece through a 12 volt transformer.
Motor
The motor is silent and is located under the bed, under the plastic cowling.
Controls
Hand held. Single control piece with raised rectangular push butons. There is a small picture depicting the bed position for each button.
Bed Rails
Fold down along the side of the bed.
Headboard/Footboard
Fixed. Optional base extension is available.
Castors
Four swivel castors are chrome plated and rubber. Choice of 100mm castors (which provides a 240mm low height) or 125mm castors (which provide a 280mm low height). There is a foot operated lever which activates the castor brakes at the foot end and head end of the bed. The castors swivel and have one manual steering lock.
Note:
- legrest raise: leg section of bed elevates and bends at knee area and the foot end of the bed remains elevated parallel to the bed frame
- Knee break: leg section of bed elevates and bends at knee area so the legs below the knee are angled downwards (triangular configuration)
- Trendelenburg Tilt: allows the entire bed to tilt so a person's feet can be higher than their head. Reverse Trendelenburg tilts the bed in the opposite direction.
