More Details
Physical description
The TV Remote Switch Interface consists of a universal remote control unit (URC 9050) attached to a rectangular base with 6 switch jacks located at one end.
Special features
Access
The remote control unit must be programmed to send the desired infrared signals to the selected appliances. Once programmed, up to six switches may be plugged into the remote control unit to operate up to six separate functions or appliances.
To activate the remote control using the switches, the remote control must be within 7 metres of the appliance to be operated, and directed at an angle of less than 30 degrees to the equipment for the best results.
Programming
Any six functions for appliances with their own infrared remote controls may be programmed. The existing remote control for the appliance is used to train infrared signals into the TV Remote Switch Interface.
Power Source
4 x AAA batteries are required for the remote control unit.
There is a battery low indicator. It is recommended the batteries be replaced as soon as possible after this light appears.
When changing the batteries, they must be replaced within two minutes, otherwise the memory of the remote control unit is erased.
