Short Description

This keyboard features extra large keys with high contrast letters in upper or lower case. It operates like a standard Windows keyboard but is easier to see and use due to the large keys and reduced number of keys.

. EasyView keyguard - clear plastic keyguard fits over keyboard to prevent multiple key hits.
. Metal keyguard - high contrast grey coloured keyguard snaps securely over the keyboard to provide visual separation of keys as well as easy access.
. Uppercase replacement keyset - set of 21 keys to covert an existing black on white keyboard to colour keys or vice versa.
. Lowercase replacement keyset - coloured or white lowercase keys to replace standard keys.
. PS/2 - USB Adaptor - to use Big Keys LX on a Windows or Macintosh computer with a USB port.

More Details

Access
Choose from a QWERTY (standard keyboard) or ABC (alphabetical) layout. It is possible to change from one layout to another by flicking a switch under the keyboard, then physically rearranging the keys.

You can choose from an uppercase or lowercase alphabet (note that the lowercase version also includes the upper case letters so you can change it to uppercase yourself).

It has all of the frequently used keys that are found on a standard Windows keyboard (except F11, F12 and numeric keypad).
Most editing keys (shift, caps lock, tab, delete etc) are accessible using one key press like a standard keyboard.
Function keys and home, end, page up and page down are operated by holding down the F key, then pressing a number or arrow key.

This keyboard has a special features which eliminates "character run-on" - no matter how long a key is held down, it will only type one letter.

Output
Big Keys LX has all the keys needed to operate most software - including word processing, email and internet applications and JAWS software screen reading software.

System
PS/2 connection with AT adaptor.

May be used with computers with a USB port by adding a PS/2 to USB adaptor (available separately).

Colours
Available in three different colour combinations:
. Black letters on white keys
. Black letters on multi-coloured keys.
. White letters on black keys.
