Short Description
The chair belt is made from webbing and consists of two components sewn together. One part goes around the patient?s waist and buckles in the front. The other part is designed to be fastened behind the chair. The belt will adjust to fit a lounge chair, wheelchair or commode.

The design allows the belt to remain fitted to a patient whilst side straps can be undone to allow transfer from chair to chair.
The belt is placed around the pelvic area, below the waist depending on individual sitting positions. The two side straps should be wound behind the chair frame near to the pelvic area.
Warning: do not buckle behind the patient's back. Safety belts must be fitted correctly and the patient kept under observation.
Washing: Machine washable to 80 degrees C

This restraint should be provided only on the advice and recommendation of a medical practitioner and should be regularly monitored. It is not suitable for use in a car or bus.
