Choice of mattress base surface:
- Aero - The interlaced removable wire frame provides for good airing and easy cleaning
- Easyclean - ABS panels that are easy to clean and very durable
- Comfort Spring System - provides an extra soft resting effect and comfortable recling with 12cm mattresses. Harder spring elements along the edge areas create an orientation zone for sitting and sleeping. The bedding area partitions are removable for cleaning.
HEADBOARD / FOOTBOARD
Choice of four different styles in wooden veneer. Each style is available in a number of wood veneer colours.
CONTROLS
Electrically operated hand held control with five activation buttons to select a function: Headrest, Headrest & Legrest, Height Adjustment, Comfort Sitting position, Decubitus Prophylaxis Position
Once a function is selected, two activation buttons determine the exact position ie Up or Down
ADJUSTMENTS
Height - electrically adjustable
Backrest angle - electrically adjustable
Legrest angle - electrically adjustable
Footrest angle (knee break) - manually adjustable ratchet system
Decubitus Prophylaxis Position - electrically operated.
This automatic position has been pre programmed into the hand control for quick access. In this position the occupants legs are elevated and the backrest raised to a half Fowler position (30 degrees). This is recommended for taking pressure off the blood vessels, e.g. in conjunction with vein disorders, but can also be used for preventing bedsores. If necessary for medical reasons, shock positioning can be achieved from this posture by lowering the back rest.
Comfort Seat Position - electrically adjustable
This is is permanently programmed in the handset.
The "double retraction" facility creates space in bed. On moving the back rest to the upright position, the back rest is retracted by 11 cm and the leg rest by 6 cm, reducing frictional and shearing forces and lowering contact pressure in the particularly bedsore-prone pelvic region.

BED RAILS
Two different styles are available.
- Traditional full length double siderails (Type 09) with either a Grip Release mechanism or a Recessed Release mechanism
- Innovative siderails (Type 10) that split lenthways into two sections (side protections) so one section can remain up while the other is down. In their highest position the two sections lock together so they act as a one piece full side rail.
