FRAME
A two-form suspension system ensures that all wheels remain on the ground while handling ramps, climbing and managing outdoor terrain. When in Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) the suspension system absorbs the shock directly underneath the seat of the user. When in Front Wheel Drive (FWD) the suspension system provides additional cushioning to prevent the wheelchair from pitching forward when traveling down a hill or breaking.

SEAT
This wheelchair is compatible with two seating systems. The traditional Rehab seating system and Perfect Fit seating system. Both are available with the option of power tilt and power lift. Power recline is available with the Perfect Fit seat only. A foam cushion is provided with the wheelchair.

Perfect Fit Seating System?
180 mm of backrest width adjustment and 125mm of seat width adjustment. Both the seat and backrest adjust independently, which can help users who are disproportionately wide in the hips or in the shoulders.

BACKREST
It comes with a slung padded backrest that is available in three heights (low, medium and tall). Lateral thoracic supports are available as an option.

ARMRESTS
A range of armests are available including full length and desk length. They can be lift up or removable and have the option of being height adjustable. A range of different padding options are available.

LEGRESTS
The legrests have optional hanging angles. They are swing away, swing in, removable and height adjustable. There is the option of manual or power elevating legrests.

FOOTPLATES
The footplates can be two piece or one piece, composite or aluminium. Optional angle adjustment and heel loops are available.

HEADREST
This comes in two sizes. It can be straight or curved with the option of a removable mount.

DRIVE WHEELS
They are 360mm in diameter, 80mm in width and are pneumatic. They are available with cast wheels in chrome, black with Knobby or V-groove tread. They can be positioned at the front or rear of the wheelchair.

FRONT AND REAR CASTORS
The castors are150 mm in diameter, 50mm in width and pneumatic.

CONTROLS
The controller uses Delphi electronics and can be mounted on the left or right armrest. The joystick mount can either be fixed or swing away. There are a range of different joystick handles and speciality controls are available. An enhanced display option is available in which the menu view can be customised. The controller is programmable for the operation of up to six actuators including infrared environmental control. There is a range of specialty control options available.

BATTERIES
There are two deep cycle batteries. A separate battery charger is provided.

POWER OPTIONS include powered seat tilt, powered elevating legrests and powered seat elevation. The powered reclining backrest is only available with the Perfect Fit seat. The power recline system minimises the amount of shear forces acting on the person by bringing the backrest forward as it reclines. The armrests move with the backrest.

TRANSPORT
The wheelchair includes an optional tie-down package for transport.

COLOUR OPTIONS
A burgundy, blue or black frame is available.

Licence & Insurance Requirements

In NSW, motorised wheelchairs that weigh less than 110 kg and cannot travel at more than 10 km/h do not have to be registered, provided they are being used by a person with mobility problems. A person driving a motorised wheelchair under these circumstances is defined as a pedestrian under the Australian Road Rules and is permitted to travel on a footpath or nature strip adjacent to the road.

Vehicles exempt from registration are covered by the nominal defendant scheme (administered by the Motor Accidents Authority) if they are at fault in an accident in NSW on a road or road-related area and cause injury to another person. However, this cover is only valid in NSW.

Standards

For some types of equipment, specific Australian Standards are applicable to the materials used in, and the manufacturing and installation of products.
