A self propelling heavy duty manual wheelchair featuring a folding steel frame and double gauge cross member. Available in three seat widths 510mm, 560mm and 610mm with corresponding load capacities of 136kg, 159kg and 200kg.

More Details

Frame
Chrome plated steel tubing is constructed from heavier than normal gauge and incorporates a folding double cross member to provide extra strength.

Upholstery
Chair has slung, reinforced vinyl upholstery that has loop handles on the seat to assist with folding the chair.

Seat
Available with three seat widths. Safety lap belt is standard.

Rear Wheels
610mm in diameter. Mag wheels with solid tyres. Ergonomic rubber hand rims. Quick release wheels are available.
Front Castors: are 200mm in diameter, narrow profile solid rubber.

Armrests
Padded, removable and available in either full length or desk style.

Legrests
Padded, elevating and swing away. Fixed angle, swing away leg rests are available as an option. A vinyl calf strap is standard.

Footplates
Hinged lift up aluminium with slip resistant material on the footplate surface. Height adjustable.

Brakes
Push on high mounted lever style.

Factors To Consider

Wheelchair Restraints
When transporting a person in a wheelchair in a car or van, both the occupant and the wheelchair require an RTA approved restraint system. The wheelchair and the occupant need to be separately secured to the vehicle itself.
RTA approval is not required for a postural support, such as a harness, that supports the user in the wheelchair but is not part of the vehicle restraint system.
The use of a headrest is not legally required but strongly recommended. Easily detachable, folding headrests which fit a wheelchair with standard push handles are available. Refer to section Wheelchair, Scooter, Cushions, ramps / Postural Supports - Seating System: Restraint+ Head+Back+Seats
