More Details

. The Xact Classic offers pressure distribution and anti-shearing properties. The Cube Pad and laminated foam base help the user maintain a comfortable, therapeutic position.
. Suitable for people requiring medium risk to high risk pressure protection (supplier stated).
. The 1.4cm polymer cubed overlay moulds to the contours of the cushion and provides maximum pressure protection. It dissipates body heat, does not absorb body fluids, urine or odours, is self healing if punctured, X ray translucent, and fire rated as self extinguishing. Grid construction offers breathability, flexibility and contour.
. Viscoelastic pink foam provides additional support for the bony protuberances.
. Paediatric sizes available
. Available in standard and custom sizes.

CUSTOM SIZES
Available in 25 mm increments with standard pommel and adductor rails. Maximum size is 610 x 610mm.

COVER
Available with either of the following covers:
Body Smart - This cover is standard. It has a breathable double layer and provides support in the ischial area against the effects of shearing. The front of the cover offers friction to maintain hip position and encourage stability.

Incontinent Cover - low shear cover with a moisture resistant layer

Considerations

All cushions must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct choice and depth of foam, correct inflation level) , a different product may need to be considered.
The gel cells on the top layer of the cushion can be punctured
Ensure that the item is not accidentally placed upside down or back to front
