More Details
Velour Mitts
This item is quick and easy to put on a patient. If the patient's hand is too hot inside the Mitt, ventilation holes can be punched into the material. Place the holes on the back of the hand near the wrist, so that the patient's fingers do not reach near the holes.
Lined Velour Mitts
. These Mitts are smaller than the standard Velour Mitts (Item # 262) and are made from two materials quilted together.
. The outer Velour material is soft so if the patient rubs themselves it should not harm the skin. The special breathable cotton inner lining prevents sweating.
Washing: Hand or machine wash only, up to 80C. Do not tumble dry or wring - air dry only.
Factors To Consider
MANUFACTURER'S WARNING - Only use a Safety Belt or Restraint if all other alternatives have been tried. Ensure Restraint Authorisation has been obtained. Restrained patients should be kept under observation, as their behaviour may alter and another restraint may be more appropriate. Restraints are a prescribed item. The wrong restraint or the correct restraint incorrectly fitted can cause injury or death.
