A viscoelastic foam mattress designed for patients with a low to moderate risk of pressure sore development. Available either as an overlay or mattress replacement. Also available in stretcher size.
Structure
The mattresses are made from a single layer of lightweight, breathable visco-elastic foam with a density of 55kg per cubic metre. The foam is designed to react to weight and body temperature and distribute body weight to reduce interface pressures.
Attachment
The mattress replacement and overlay have a non-slip underside. The replacement has built in carry handles. The overlay attaches to the mattress via elastic straps on the corners of the overlay.
Cover
The polyurethane cover is fully enclosed and welded (ie non removable). Cover is waterproof, vapour permeable, antimicrobial and multi-stretch to reduce shear.
Cleaning Requirements
Wipe down with a non-bleach based disinfecting agent.
