Short Description

A rigid adjustable postural support seating system that is designed to fit children aged from one to five years. The leg support system is designed to accommodate pelvic positioning needs. It incorporates a range of harnesses across the pelvis, feet and chest to assist supportive sitting. The seating system can be placed on a range of wheelbases including an adjustable height base.

More Details

The standard seat comes with adjustable back, pelvic and upper leg seating components to accommodate a number of postural and pelvic positioning and support needs. The backrest will tilt back 10 to 25 from the upright for children requiring increased trunk support.
The Squiggles seating system integrates with two highly adjustable hi-lo bases to easily and safely position a child at varying table top heights. The mobile Hi Lo indoor base can be purchased with a manually operated gas spring lift or a powered lift.

The Squiggles seating system can also be mounted onto a standard manual wheelchair as there is a bracket that enables the seat to be secured to the wheelchair base.

Frame
Heavy duty plastic backrest and base which is adjustable in height and width using a wingnut adjuster to slide up and down the aluminium rods.

Seat
* A comfortable, contoured seat base, which allows freedom of movement.
* A flexible sacral cushion, which can be shaped to follow the contours of the child?s back.
* A ramped seat base cushion that prevents the child from slipping forward into a sacral sitting posture.
* Pelvic positioning harness with width adjustable hip guides.
* Foam covered pillows with removable covers. They are secured to the seat and backrest by press studding them to the plastic base units. The seat has a full length cushion and an additional sacral cushion section.

Backrest
* Height and angle adjustable.
* A foam covered cushion with a plastic insert at the back of the cushion fits in the cut out section of the seat frame. Secured by press studs.

Legrests and Footplates
* The footplates can be positioned in partial dorsiflexion or plantarflexion.
* They can be raised and lowered on a central poles located below the seat base.
* There are two individual footplates attached to a single base.

Upholstery
* Cotton that does not stretch.
* Available in a range of four colours - pink, blue, green and orange.

Cleaning Requirements
The chair may be sponged to clean
