The unit is hearing aid compatible and has up to 25dB of earpiece volume boost, loud ringer and vibration alert. Additional features include a speaker phone, three quick dial buttons and phonebook. It can send and receive SMS text messages.

To operate the personal call alarm service successfully, the caller has to be able to verbally communicate their situation and location to the nominated person receiving the call.
