Short Description

This self contained hygienic shower / toilet system comes as a portable, freestanding unit. It dismantles to several parts for ease of delivery and can be installed in a short period of time. The Careport may suit homes where bathroom modification is not possible. Available also for sale as well as short or long term rental.

More Details

The Careport is made from a fibreglass base with PVC plastic sides and aluminium corner pieces. Components are easy to clean. It has a short ramped access.
Conforming to plumbing and sanitary requirements, the Careport can provide easy access for carers to clients during showering / toileting. A carer is able to stand outside the unit and shower a person from the open side.

SCREEN / DOOR
Two outwardly opening hinged doors with perspex panels. The doors have rubber edgings to contain the water. They are locked into the closed position using a centrally mounted fold down bracket with a handle.

BASE
Fibreglass slip resistant, textured surface

SHOWER
Hand held shower hand set can be fitted to an adjustable fitting which slides up and down a corner rail. This rail is fitted to the front left hand corner (from the users perspective). Optional soap dish.

TAP
Single lever mixer tap. Pull out to turn water on. Turn right for cold water. Turn left for hot water. Hot and cold water directions are clearly marked on wall.

SHOWER CHAIR
Folding wall mounted metal frame with vinyl seat and back. Two legs with rubber ferrules on the base. 200kg load capacity.

CURTAIN
Waterproof fabric on front and one side. Comes to just below door / side panel level. Slides along a track.

TOILET
Standard toilet with lid. Two wall mounted flush buttons. A macerator is located at the rear of the unit and drained into the sewerage system. A thermostatic mixing valve keeps the water temperature at maximum 37.5 degrees C.

PLUMBING
Hose connects to household hot / cold water. Where the hot water system is not easily accessible and hot water supply unit can be provided. This is completely self contained with a safety tampering valve. It plugs into a three pin socket.

DISMANTLES
The unit dismantles to several parts. Base, ceiling, three walls, two front doors, small ramp, two metal side rails, optional shower and / or toilet, plumbing accessories.

Installation

The Careport can be installed on any floor surface including carpet.
It connects to existing plumbing and can be removed without a trace.
An optional hot water supply unit is available where the building supply is not accessible for linking into. Needs to plug into a three pin socket.

The suppliers will deliver and install (for an additional installation cost)
