Short Description
A mobile, folding, battery operated stand up hoist which brings a person from sitting to a supported standing position. The hoist has attachments for sling loops, with dual positions, depending on height of person to be hoisted. A range of slings is available. The hoist is suitable for domestic and healthcare facility use.
Method Of Use
To fold the Journey:
1. Adjust the cow horn to the fold position then raise the knee pad to its uppermost point.
2. Unlock the mast locking device and lower the mast assembly towards the legs.
3. The mast then locks into position. The Journey is now ready to be stored or transported.
4. A quick release device is used to unfold the hoist.

Materials
The hoist is constructed from epoxy powder coated steel tube.
Mast
It features a single mast which supports a single, straight boom.
Boom
The boom has a "C" shaped end with two attachment points for sling loops on each side, plus padded slip resistant hand grips for the user.
Power Source
The battery pack is located in front of the mast below the two angled push handles.
Castors
The front twin castors swivel and step on total lock castors are located on the rear.
Foot Plate
The rectangular shaped foot plate has a black, rubber, slip resistant upper surface, with a raised edge on both sides. The foot plate is removable for cleaning or gait training.
Knee Pad
The knee pad is vinyl upholstered and has lateral supports to each side and is height adjustable. It has a retractable safety belt for extra support.
Method of Operation
Raise and lower functions are battery powered, dual speed, activated by a hand held control on an extendable cord. Leg opening and closing (gating) are also battery powered
Slings
The Oxford Journey has the option of two slings (transport and standing) to assist with: Toiletting, Standing, Point to Point Transfers and Walking Rehab.
