Short Description

A small plastic device with a thumb slot and rest and two elongated sides (wings). It is placed into the spine of a book and the two wings are used to hold the book open with one hand. Thumbthing comes in four sizes (small, medium, large and extra large) and a range of colours.

Method Of Use

* Put the Thumbthing onto your thumb and place into the spine of the book. The two wings will hold the pages open more easily, making reading more comfortable
* When finished reading place the Thumbthing into the top of the book to act as a bookmark

Factors To Consider

Thumbthing reduces the amount of pressure needed to sustain the book in a functional open position. However when you turn the page, you have to move the thumb, with the Thumbthing, away much more that you would without it. It may be necessary to release the hand completely.
