Short Description

A range of sling styles for various applications. Materials include standard polyesters/ polyester mesh, all day polyesters / polyester mesh polyester, comfort polyester deluxe, and paediatric polyester. Available in a range of sizes with either clip or loop attachments and may be used with either a two point spreader bar, or pivot frame. Suitable for children, adults, and larger adults. Customisation is available.

Materials
* Standard Polyester This is a general purpose fabric
* Standard Polyester Mesh This is a bathing/ showering fabric
* All Day Polyester Standard. Manufacturer states this is suitable to be left under the person
* All Day Polyester Mesh. Manufacturer states this is suitable to be left under the person and used for bathing/ showering
* Comfort Polyester Mesh. This is a soft fabric for extra comfort
* Paediatric Polyester. This has been specifically designed for children

Colours
* Standard Polyester (light blue): available with full standard sling range
* Standard Polyester mesh (light blue): available with full standard sling range
* All Day Polyester standard (black): available with amputee and unpadded range of slings
* All Day Polyester mesh (black) available with amputee and unpadded range of slings
* Comfort Polyester mesh (navy blue) available with padded range of slings.
Paediatric Polyester (light blue with printed elephant images): available with XXS, XS, and small sizes

Attachment
The Arjo range of slings have either clip or loop attachments. Clip style attachments are designed for use with a 4 point dynamic positioning system spreader bar, while the loop attachments may be used with 2 or 4 point loop spreader bars.

Size
Sizes are ranged from XXS to XXL (Medium to XXL for bariatric range) and are colour coded.

Safety
* The handles found on some slings are intended to steer and not lift the user
* Excessive force on the handles may break the seam or fabric
* As with any sling, it should be regularly checked before use
* Check sling for things like frayed edges, thinning or lose stitching, tears or other anomalies
* If in doubt do not use the sling

Factors To Consider

It is recommended that prior to using this product, training in manual handling and the correct use of assistive devices should be undertaken.

Maintenance

Cleaning
Washing and instruction label is found on each sling. The manufacturer provides information regarding washing and disinfecting process.

Standards

Some assistive technology needs to meet Australian or other standards. Standards may relate to materials, manufacturing and installation. Products that meet Australian or international standards will have written certification. To find out if a product meets Australian Standards ask the supplier to show you the certificate.
