Dragon Boats NSW Inc

Dragon Boat racing is a unique water sport. It is sport that attracts a broad demographic of members with varying cultural and occupational backgrounds as well as varying degrees of age, fitness and physical capabilities.
Dragon Boats NSW (DBNSW) is the governing body for dragon boating in New South Wales and a member of the Australian Dragon Boat Federation (AusDBF).

Dragon Boat racing is a long standing Chinese Tradition that has developed into a fast and furious water sport around the world. In Australia it is the fastest growing water sport with 22 people required to propel a boat from start to finish.
In 2019, there were over 3200 members residing in all corners of the state from Ballina in the north to Jindabyne down south; and over sixty affiliated dragon boat clubs scattered around the waterways of NSW each sporting their own individual culture. These clubs are all members of DBNSW and therefore adhere to the sporting and ethical guidelines bound by their membership.
