More Details

Vibralarm Function
When the smoke alarm is set off, the strobe light will flash several times and the plug-in vibrating pad, which is designed to sit under the pillow, will begin to vibrate.

Features
The Vibralarm is mains powered, but features a lead-acid rechargeable battery that provides back-up power in the event of a mains failure.

The Vibralarm features the following lights on the front of the system;
* A green light indicates that mains power is connected, when mains power is absent, it will flash every four seconds.
* If mains power fails, a red light will flash once every second to indicate it is running on the battery back-up.
* An amber light will be present if there is a fault in the control unit.

The system also features a test button on the front of the unit, that allows the strobe light, vibration pad and smoke alarm to be tested.

Smoke alarms
* The Vibralarm is designed for use with Brooks smoke alarms, including options of a mains powered photoelectric alarm or a 10 year lithium cell, battery powered photoelectric alarm.
* The smoke alarms require RadioLINK interconnectivity to allow the Vibralarm to link wirelessly to the alarm. This is achieved through use of a RF RadioLINK Module installed into the 10 year lithium cell, battery-powered photoelectric alarm, or through use of a RadioLINK base for use with the mains powered alarm.

NSW Smoke Alarm Subsidy Scheme
The EIB170RF is commonly sold as a kit with the EIB605TYCRF smoke alarm. This compact alarm has a large easy to locate test/hush button. This kit is available through the Deaf Society NSW under the NSW Smoke Alarm Subsidy Scheme.
