Each of these rich multi-media and switch-accessible CD-ROMs contains over 30 revision activities that cover the science curriculum for ages 3 to 11. The Space Science activities extend to ages 14

ChooseIt! Ready-Mades series have a simple and consistent presentation, clear language, switch accessibility and full audio support.

Activities are simply presented as multiple-choice questions, which are structured using a positive reinforcement strategy. Correct answers result in a short animated sequence with music and spoken reinforcement, while full speech support and switch access options provide access to learning by almost all students.

Performance reporting is in built. It is suitable for individual use and for group use on a touch screen monitor, interactive whiteboard or plasma screen.

Should the activity content not quite fit your specific needs, you can modify them using ChooseIt! Maker 2. ChooseIt! Maker 2 is easy to use and allows you to change the text, the pictures, the speech or music in an activity.

Additional resources are provided on each CD as worksheets and images to print and use away from the computer.

ChooseIt! Ready-Mades Science titles available

Foundation Living Things (for Ages 3 to 5)
* Features 32 simple activities which introduce the topics of human beings, animals and plants as well as the world around us. These map directly to the UK Foundation Stage (Ages 3 to 5) targets.

Living Things (for Ages 5 to 11)
* Features 38 slightly harder activities which develop the knowledge gained from the previous CD for Life Processes and Living Things and maps directly to ages 5 to 11 (Key Stage 1 and 2 of the UK Science National Curriculum).

Materials
* Features 30 activities to look at materials from everyday life and their properties
* They are designed for students aged 3 to 11, and are compatible with the UK Science National Curriculum.

Forces and Electricity
* Features 30 graded activities covering electricity and forces. The activities cover the physical processes area from the UK Science National Curriculum for ages 5 to 11 and come on two CDs.

Light, Sound and Space
* The 31 activities on this CD cover the topics of Earth, Space, Light and Sound
* Most activities are for students ages 5 to 11. In addition, the activities on Space have been extended to give students of ages 11 to 14 a wider breadth of knowledge to increase the student's interest in this popular area of science

Standards

Standards
Some assistive technology needs to meet Australian or other standards. Standards may relate to materials, manufacturing and installation. Products that meet Australian or international standards will have written certification. To find out if a product meets Australian Standards ask the supplier to show you the certificate. TGA
Many of the items on the Assistive Technology Australia website are categorised as a Medical Device. Medical devices that are approved for use in Australia have been entered into a national database called the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), which is maintained by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). You can ask the supplier for the ARTG number for the device you wish to purchase and search the ARTG for the entry. To access information on the ARTG visit www.tga.gov.au

When buying a medical device it is advisable to only choose a medical device that is recommended by a healthcare professional and has been included on the ARTG.
