Frame
* The bath hoist is made of two detachable components, the back support and the seat base
* The two attach together by the backrest locking onto the seat base
* The bath hoist is positioned in the bottom of the bath and attached with four large suction caps
Seat
* The bath seat has wide side flaps which are hinged and fold upwards as the seat lowers
* The seat is covered in detachable, slip resistant covering which can be removed and machine washed.
Backrest
* The backrest has a recline function which is electrically operated by the hand held control.
Power Source
* Via a battery that is found at the back of the chair
* A red light shows when the battery power is low
* The hoist is powered by a rechargeable battery which is charged after each use
* There is a power back up mechanism, allowing the seat to be raised when the battery is low
Battery Recharging
* Achieved by disconnecting the battery from the bath hoist and inserting the battery into the charging terminal
Electric Controls
* The bath hoist is lowered and raised by the user or attendant using a hand held control that is buoyant should it be dropped in water
* Handheld control on an extendable cord
* A hook attachment on the control unit allows the controls to be hung on the battery attachment on the backrest
Dismantling / Folding
* Is possible by folding the backrest down and unlocking the seat from the base
