Interpreter teams are available in each of the NSW Health's metropolitan regions, to help non-english speaking groups and individuals with language problems in hospitals, community health centres and other health care areas.

NABS provides Australia-wide interpreters to Deaf and hearing impaired adults and children who use sign language and would like an interpreter for private medical appointments. It is free of charge to Sign Language users and medical practitioners. It will also provide interpreters for people who are deaf and blind. NABS operates between the hours of 8am to 8pm, Monday to Firday, excluding Public Holidays.
