Coalition of learning difficulties and ADD support groups. Membership includes parents, teachers and other association organisations. Operates daily Help Line and has details of local parent support groups throughout NSW, including those at The Hills, Merrylands, Mount Druitt / Blacktown, Parramatta / Holroyd. Also contact group available.
Provides a comprehensive, state-wide range of services to families of children aged 0 -18 with learning disabilities, including : early childhood, family and parents.
An information centre for adults with literacy problems. Supplies information about sources of help in NSW and in particular, schemes run by TAFE.
SPELD NSW (Specific Learning Disabilities Association) is a Public Benevolent Institution and a registered charity whose aims are to support, disseminate information and advocate in response to the needs of children and adults who have Specific Learning Difficulties and those who teach and care for them.
